Hi All Parents, Families and Fellow Blog Followers,
We have been a little slack with keeping our Blog up to date as we have been a little flat out! Our aim from now on is to at least make one post a week to let you all know what we have been up to.
The students of Grade 5/6 have their own blogs so ask your child their address and head over and check out their work. They love it when you leave a comment on their post, both here and their own blog.
Brief update of what we have been up to lately:
- Changes to the 5/6 area- Mrs Tuohey has been employed to help us in the 5/6 area. In the morning she takes a select group of students from each of the 3 grades for Literacy. After 1st Lunch she does the same thing with a different bunch of students for Maths. At 12:45 Mrs Tuohey takes over Mr Mac’s class.
- Odd Socks Circus- Our school production is coming up on September 9th at the Ulumbarra. Tickets are now on sale now, don’t miss out! We have been practising really hard to master our circus skills and we are looking very forward to showing them off! Costumes need to come along to school asap so we can tell every child has an appropriate costume.
- Procedure Writing- We have been working on writing procedure pieces of writing. All students in Miss Bennett’s Literacy Group are developing a published piece titled, ‘How to Make a Paper Aeroplane.’ Which we discovered was much more difficult than we first expected. Once they are published they will be uploaded to their blog.
- Humanities- This term our topic is Early Australian History.
Stay tuned for more exciting times!
